We all want RELIABLE technology to serve mankind – not pollute the planet and the oceans.

For this to play out right – it is important to ONLY buy HIQH QUALITY products – that are hopefully manufacturerd IN YOUR COUNTRY so no jobs get lost – at best: WITHOUT USING DANGEROUS CHEMICALS.

the digital diesel power generator: Minecraft for engineers?

very funny. You can build machines in minecraft. Amazing. Almost like a CAD simulator.

well now the REAL LIFE problem…

you sometimes need decentralized mobile 2000W of power at 240V and 50Hz (2000W/240V=8Amps) but WHAT machine is most reliable?

Stiftung Warentest: Foundation Product Test

There is a partly STATE FINANCED plattform in Germany that unfortunately in ADDITION charges the citizens money to see the test results and test reviews. (!? WHY ACTUALLY?)

Because they are STATE FINANCED you can expect SOME DEGREE OF OBJECTIVITY/VENDOR NEUTRALITY.

You can argue if people can trust “the government” but belive me it is DEFINATELY more VENDOR NEUTRAL than privately owned  testing companies/comparison magazines or plattforms. (Except maybe: https://www.codecheck.info/ from Switzerland, they even have a App that allows you to type in all ingredients of a product and chemical experts tell you if it’s dangerous or not)

A lot of magazines and media out there simply sells well written advertisement articles and “best car 20XX” – instead of doing real testing – always out of fear to lose a sponsor.

Amazon and eBay reviews?

Fake Amazon ratings and how to avoid them?

it has grown into a damn industry!

Producers ship products to testers FOR FREE in exchange for a (fake) 5 star rating including review.

this site https://reviewmeta.com/ tries to filter out all the fake reviews (no gurantee how will it does that, but at least it is a try to get more objective reviews).

20-30% of all Amazon ratings are fake/manipulated/bought

There used to be plattforms and sites to tackle the problem.

One was ePinions.com Well guess what – it gave up.

And ciao.com (bought by Microsoft) now also says: “Ciao”

But this world desperately needs OBJECTIVE people that test technology truthfully and not maximizing profit.

A lot of trash would not be bought and produced – if there was a plattform that does this properly.

Also this approach would need to be “use case” centric – thus method independant.

If the “use case” is opening a can – the method/device does not really matter – as long as it get’s the job done – 1000x times in a row – without deforming, breaking apart or giving of unhealthy substances.

Speaking of my power generator problem: the same result could be acchieved with a car battery (100Ah or more) and a 12V dc to 240v AC converter (Made in China) – but again – how to distinguish the bad quality products from the good quality products?

Thanks to this italian guy and with additional info i gathered in the last 3-5hours i can say “Spannungswandler” “REINE SINUS WELLE” DoPower is CHEAP CHINESE CRAP! SPEND A LITTLE MORE BUCKS AND GET BETTER QUALITY!

also the voltage output keeps jumping up and down between 220V and 250V, which is definitely 10V above what it should be in any case – possibly damaging sensitive devices.

So is this the end of the story? Everybody SHOULD research 3days before buying ANYTHING?

KIPE Inverter Onda Pura 12 DC 230 AC JOIN:

YES – this is 100€ MORE than the CHINESE CRAP. BUT IT WILL NOT BURN DOWN YOUR HOUSE!

here it is the full sortiment (italy?) https://www.alphaelettronica.com/inverter/onda-sinusoidale-pura/tutti.html from 100W to 2000W.

amazon: ratings…

some people/agencies earn money by faking amazon product ratings.

You should not trust someone that bought the product 10x times and gave a 5 star rating every time.

Also it is hard to trust someone that is not a “verfied buyer” – but at the same time – people like me use the Amazon ranking to find a product and then go to eBay to buy it. Sometimes eBay is cheaper – but eBay also seems to care more about the mankaind and the planet – or what is Jeff Bezoz doing with all those millions and billions of USD?

Help mankind? I haven’t seen that yet.

Can you trust a “non verified” buyer at amazon that gave a 5 star rating … his only review. ever. But the review is very well written… a little bit TOO well.

300-400h Tankuhr Schwimmer geht verloren. (Keine Reparatur)
Fazit. Bestes Preisleistungsverhältnis!!
Und kaputt gehen tun Sie alle……..Leider!
Also noch mal an alle!!

even if i believe this review: made to break?

producers ON PURPOSE or OUT OF LACK OF EXPERTISE design FAULTY products that can NOT handle the tasks… for long.

example: 12v -> 240v converter probably COMPLETELY DESIGNED AND PRODUCED IN CHINA:

such DANGEROUS and UNTESTED designs SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO BE SOLD IN EUROPE!

BUT OUR GOVERNMENT RATHER ACT IRRESPONSIBLE: “PROTECT OUR CITIZENS? NAH – WE RATHER ALLOW DANGEROUS STUFF WITH DANGEROUS CHEMICALS TO BE SOLD – MONEY IS THE MEANING OF EXISTANCE – MAYBE SOMEONE DIES THE WE SAY “SORRY – EVIL MANUFACTURER” MAYBE A NEW FAKE LAW THAT DOES NOT FIX SHIT – AND CONTINUE IGNORANCE AND CORRUPTION”

You do not have to study electronics to know: the device shown above is a very fine example of bad device design ON PURPOSE (planned obsolescence) or by ACCIDENT (LACK OF EXPERTISE) – designed AND made in china?:

the converter simply CAN NOT HANDLE the load it says on the label it canit probably works fine up to 1000W but then the power “jumps” directly between the pins over the air “electric arc” or through the plastic and you have a short-circuit and a damaged device and probably also some more cancerous chemicals in the air.

globalization at work.

“great” isn’t it. believe me cancer and a burned down house is not funny.

this system rewards vendors that fool their customers (often by conspirating with other competing vendors) and trash the planet and produce stuff that you will have to fix and fix and fix like a tamagochi or: rebuy – rebuy – rebuy – as most customers do – because they are too afraid to fix.

That’s why Repair-Cafes are booming in Europe.

marketing – lies – whats the difference?

the seller of this crap: https://www.ebay.de/usr/danceronroof

says he is shipping his stuff directly from GERMANY, HAMBURG – LIE!

HE IS SHIPPING FROM CHINA! (this can take weeks by ship)

LIE! SELL! LIE?

This is not going to work forever. Honesty lasts longer than lies. You can not fool people forever – Trust me.

Because “Made in Germany” sells well as a label for Quality (e.g. Einhell) is now actually “Made in China” and all the money and jobs go there as well – producing a lot of trash that fills our houses and trash dumps and causes headaches and consume people’s time – trying to repair them.

i spend a whole night learning how a dishwasher works… do we all have to become experts in everything? in order not to be ripped of by “the experts” that we can not trust?

How and will this madness be stopped?

Checkout this super old stuff of the 109 year old WW2 veteran – most of it probably STILL WORKS: (TV, Radio, Car)

i could RANT ON about this subject FOREVER.

THE BOSCH / SIEMENS / NEFF Dishwasher story:

  1. they are all the same design – so they share defects
    • the manufacturers group together – not only to conspire – but also to save development costs and so all the machines/cars are actually the same “crap” just with different branding.
    • on the other side: atleast this creates a kind of “standard” so fixes for BOSCH work for SIEMENS and so on.
  2. some defects are on purpose:
    • if you open it you can clearly see – that way the dirt-water flows can not work – dirt accumulates in a corner. DISGUSTING!
    • the dishwasher machine relies on 2-3 sensors which are very sensitive. a little lime/chalk in the water will make them get stuck – a little dust will cause the thing to fail. designed to fail.

I bought a BOSCH dishwasher pretty cheap at eBay 10€.

The seller said it was working – well lie again.

What was broken?

Probably some sensor can’t detect there is still dirty water in the machine and does not signal the pump to pump it out.

So what is the workaround?

Simply pull a little plastic lever that activates the pump.

99% of customers probably put this 500€ machine to the junk jard because of this minor problem.

Except for this problem – the machine works just fine.

Solution?

Mabye ALL possible technological “use cases” have to be solved by OPEN SOURCE and CrowdFunding?

I guess that is how it is going down.
